DIY Glittered Shoes

So I went to work glittering my shoes after eyeing the very expensive Barbie ones at Town Shoes. Firstly, I prefer gold to silver. And secondly, I prefer to not have to spend any extra money if I can do it myself. Here’s how I did it:

Step 1: Find a pair of beat up shoes that fit well but don’t look so hot anymore.

Step 2: Gather your materials. Mod Podge, fine glitter (i bought mine at the dollar store), paint brush, empty shoe box (to catch all the glitter), shoes, acrylic sealer.

Step 3: Place shoe in box and apply Mod Podge to shoe in sections. Dust glitter onto glue. Repeat until the whole of both shoes are covered and let dry.

Step 4: If there are still spaces where the shoe is peeping through, add a second coat. Just brush Mod Podge directly overtop of the dried on glitter and dust again. Let dry.

Step 5: Spray with a sealer. Either glossy spray paint. Or an acrylic sealer. Like Mod Podge Acrylic Glossy Sealer.
