Kissing Whiskey by the Fire Intaglio on BFK Reeves Named after a Dave Matthews Band song. This is an editioned print of four. And part of a series: The Vintage Hat Series. The women were inspired by various pornographic images and given each a vintage hat and printed in a different colour. The series speaks to my interest in fashion and sexuality and how both have changed drastically over the years. The Vintage Hat Series hats were once worn on women who dressed in long dresses with hemlines that touched ankles and a neckline that showed no neck. Back then, this was classy and sexy. Oh how times have changed. These nude women are now the ideal. Except they don’t seem very sexy. With no eyeballs in their sockets, accentuated by long lashes and drawn-in circles for cheeks these women mimic clowns or toys more so than women. A little disturbing but definitely engaging, the vintage hats are the only part of these women that are unique and soulful. This series is for sale and can be purchased individually!
